Pianist and composer Mabel Kwan brings in a highly personal and spirited approach to her work, both a performer and a composer of new music. Don’t miss this chance to hear one Chicago’s brightest talents perform in the intimate setting of the Experimental Sound Studio.

Beth McDonald will perform a set of semi-improvised music for tuba and electronics, then will be joined by Mabel Kwan (piano) and Neal Markowski (drums) for an acoustic second set.

Mabel Kwan will use PLAY as the central theme of her performance in ESS's 2017 Outer Ear series.
