The selected artists in OSCILLATIONS 2014 represent a gamut of disciplines, including generative and conceptual sound art, contemporary chamber music, audio/video synthesis, and improvisations and performances by virtuoso instrumentalists and vocalists.
ADA Radio is a new occasional and improvisational radio collective consisting of Brett Balogh, Jonny Farrow, Jeff Kolar, Milad Mozari, Jessica Speer, and Peter Speer. If you are on the north side of Chicago, tune in to hear these jolly noisemakers in their sonic frolic! Collectively concerned with voltages, frequencies, and modulations, each member brings a different sensibility to the group employing all manner of sonic manipulations, from analog synthesizers, to digital instruments, to live audio streams from far away spaces, hand-built oscillators, and other frequencies from across the electromagnetic spectrum.
