ESS has assembled three of the most prolific percussionists in Chicago's jazz and improvised music scene - Jason Adasiewicz (vibes), Tim Daisy (marimba), and Michael Zerang (xylophone) - to engage in an unprecedented concatenation of mallet instruments.

We at ESS are excited to throw our third Vinosonic fundraiser! Come out and enjoy an eclectic and international selection of wines furnished and presented by In Fine Spirits, live improvised music by Jason Adasiewicz, Matt Clark, Dave Rempis and ESS's own Adam Vida, as well as Sandra Binion's 4-channel video installation Vino. The price of admission goes toward ESS's continuing public presentation and community outreach initiatives, which are impossible without your generosity.

Tom Nunn has designed, built and performed with original musical instruments since 1975.  His instruments typically utilize commonly available materials, are sculptural in appearance, utilize contact microphones for amplification, and are designed specifically for improvisation with elements of ambiguity, unpredictability and nonlinearity.  For this performance Tom's instruments will be played by Ed Herrmann, Jason Adasiewicz, Adam Vida, and Sam Hertz.
