FLUX BIKES - Sunday, August 29th, 2:00 - 3:30PM

Meeting Place: Alfred Caldwell Lily Pond in Lincoln Park (On Fullerton east of Stockton Dr.)

End Place: Boat House Pavilion in Humboldt Park (Middle of the park on Humboldt Dr.)

Bicycle/audio tour of Chicago featuring solo performances by Rob Frye on bicycle wheel and saxophone.  Riders will also be invited to make sounds with their own bicycles using contact mics, loops/effects and a battery powered amp. This group ride is based on the "Happenings" associated with the Fluxus artists in the 1960's.  "Happenings" are loose performance art situations that involve audience participation.   There will be surprises along the way and conversation about the places we will pass; '68 DNC protest sites in Lincoln Park, scrap metal yards, the Bloomingdale Trail, and many more.  FREE
